A perfect childcare snack – Hearty Health Protein Balls

Eating a healthy childcare snack doesn’t have to be time consuming and tedious…..

Try making these super easy and yummy Hearty Health Protein Balls that are not only great for kids but for educators and parents as well!

By adding nutrient dense bananas and naturally sweet dates, the kids will get a big hit of vitamins and minerals without even knowing it’s healthy 🙂

Hearty Health protein balls – the perfect childcare snack

  • 5 Weet-Bix, crumbled
  • 1 large ripe banana, coarsely chopped
  • 200g fresh medjool dates, pitted, coarsely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 tablespoons desiccated coconut

Step 1

Add Weet-Bix, banana, date, vanilla and 2 tbs of the coconut. Blitz in food processor until combined.

Step 2

Roll heaped tablespoonful’s of the mixture into balls. Spread remaining coconut on a plate. Roll balls lightly in coconut to coat. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
